VDORA1 Study

Study Type

Study Purpose

Low levels of Vitamin D have been recognized as a common factor in children who have asthma.

The VDORA1 research study will evaluate how much Vitamin D supplement a child must take to get their Vitamin D to a certain level in his or her blood. What we learn in this study may help us determine the possible relationship between Vitamin D and asthma symptoms.

About the Study

Eligible participants will visit the Pennington Biomedical Outpatient clinic to enroll and complete study visits. Participants will take Vitamin D supplements for a certain period of time and then will visit with the study staff to evaluate the Vitamin D levels in his or her blood.
