Study Purpose
The purpose of the SUNRISE research study is to examine movement behaviors measuring physical activity, sitting, and sleep for children ages 3 and 4 years old.
About the Study
Parents will complete a web screen and phone screen. Eligible children with their parents will visit the Pennington Biomedical Research Center for a 1-hour visit or the visit may be completed at a participating childcare center. During this visit, the procedures listed below will be conducted.
Study Design
- 1 phone screening visit
- 1 in-person visit that will last 1 hour
- Height and weight
- Motor skills
- Memory games
- Questionnaires
- Child will be loaned a wearable device to track steps for 1 week

- Be 3 or 4 years of age
To qualify for this research study, participants should:
Study Duration
Participation in the study will last about 2 weeks, which includes a phone screen, a 1-hour visit, and a wearable to track steps for 1 week.
Compensation
Small toys and up to $75 is offered to the child for the completion of this study.
